Tottenham vs South China Barclays Asia Trophy Odds

South China will square off against Tottenham in the third place playoff of the Barclays Asia Trophy tournament on Saturday afternoon.

South China dropped a 1-0 game to Manchester City earlier in the week to earn their way into the third place playoff, while Tottenham lost 3-1 to Sunderland.

The conditions at this event have been dreadful all week, as Hong Kong has been blasted by a seemingly endless downpour. This has created slow and soggy conditions, and forecasters are expecting more of the same on Saturday.

Tottenham's manager Andre Villas-Boas has been especially outspoken about the conditions - don't be surprised if Tottenham's best players see little to no action on Saturday, as their manager wants to avoid injuries with just a few weeks to go until the start of the next English Premier League season.

As you can probably imagine, South China will be big underdogs on Saturday afternoon. Here are the current betting odds:

South China, 11.00
Draw, 7.00
Tottenham, 1.17

While Tottenham should certainly win this game, the conditions will likely be horrible and Tottenham will not be playing its best players. Just something to keep in mind before the kickoff on Saturday afternoon.

According to the bookmakers, the likeliest outcomes of Saturday's contest are:

Tottenham 3-0, 7.50
Tottenham 2-0, 8.00
Tottenham 4-0, 9.00
