Real Madrid Currently 2/1 To Win Champions League

Thanks to the boot of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid is now the favourite to win the Champions League trophy this season.
Heading into the first leg of play in the Quarter-Finals of Champions League, Bayern Munich and Barcelona were essentially co-favourites to win the trophy. Both teams suffered staggering setbacks this week, however, as Barcelona lost 3-0 on the road to Juventus, while Bayern Munich lost 2-1 to Real Madrid at home.
Thanks to this week's results, Real Madrid and Juventus are currently the two favourites to win the Champions League trophy - here are the current odds following the completion of the first legs of the quarter-finals:
Real Madrid, 2/1
Juventus, 3/1
Atletico Madrid, 9/2
Bayern Munich, 11/1
Monaco, 9/1
Barcelona, 16/1
Borussia Dortmund, 25/1
Leicester, 40/1

Real Madrid did themselves a very big favour by taking advantage of Bayern Munich having to play for a large chunk of the game with only 10 men, as they were able to get two past the vaunted Bayern Munich defence in the second half. This gave Real Madrid the road victory and two valuable away goals, which will make them very hard to beat at home.
Juventus surprised many by smashing Barcelona 3-0 at home. Barcelona mounted a massive comeback against PSG in the last round, though can they pull out the amazing victory once again? Barcelona did themselves a very big disservice by scoring zero road goals yet again - counting on another victory for their side seems like a big ask.
Monaco managed three goals on the road in a 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund, though nobody really expects that their side would be strong enough to make it through the entire tournament.
Atletico Madrid had a lacklustre performance at home against Leicester, notching a 1-0 win, though the pressure will be on when they travel to Leicester City on the 18th of April.

If both Bayern Munich and Barcelona are bounced from the tournament in the quarter-finals, Real Madrid will be the clear favourite to win the tournament.
