Two Sides To Battle in International Champions Cup Match

Manchester United will play the first of two games in China (they have a match against Manchester City later in the week) on Friday when they do battle with Borussia Dortmund.

This is essentially a pre-season game, so don't expect too much in the way of big stars. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for instance, is not even in China.

What you can expect, however, is for both teams to field line-ups that include a smattering of star power and a great deal of young talent. For this reason, getting a handle on who will win the match is a pretty difficult proposition.

Here are the current odds for this game:

Manchester United, 7/5
Borussia Dortmund, 7/4
Draw, 5/2

As you can see, Manchester United has the very slight edge to win, though handicapping the result is practically an impossibility, as nobody knows exactly who will play and for how long.

Here are some of the names who are expected to play on Friday:

Marcus Rashford
Marco Reus
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Wayne Rooney
Ousmane Dembele
Henrik Mkhitaryan

While this match doesn't have anything in the way of consequence, fans can take solace in the fact that pre-season football means that the beginning of league play is nearly upon us.
