Neymar, Jr. Suspension Has Hurt Brazil's Chances of Winning

The 2015 Copa America is now down to just eight teams - they are: Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Columbia, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay and Bolivia.

The four quarter-final matches, which will get underway later this week, look like this:

Chile vs Uruguay
Bolivia vs Peru
Argentina vs Columbia
Brazil vs Paraguay

Argentina and Chile, which is the host nation for the tournament, are the current two favourites to win Copa America as of this moment, as evidenced by these odds:

Argentina, 2.75
Chile, 3.60
Brazil, 5.25
Columbia, 11.00
Uruguay, 13.00
Peru, 31.00
Paraguay, 34.00
Bolivia, 81.00

Brazil was one of the co-favourites (along with Argentina) to win before the tournament started. A suspension to Neymar, Jr. for the rest of the tournament, however, has thrown a wrench into Brazil's chances of winning. They can still win, of course, though they are going to be hard-pressed to defeat Lionel Messi and Argentina without the services of Neymar, Jr.

Assuming that Argentina and Brazil both win their quarter-final matches, they will meet on June 30th in the semi-finals.

The final is set to take place on July 4th in Santiago. Will it be Chile vs Argentina in the finals, or will someone else make a surprise appearance?
