Serena Williams Big Favourite To Defeat Muguruza on Saturday

The finals of this year's Women's Wimbledon event will see #1 ranked Serena Williams square off against Garbine Muguruza.

Williams eased her way into the finals after handling her arch-nemesis, Maria Sharapova, 6-2, 6-4. Despite the animosity between the two women, Williams maintains a clear advantage over Sharapova which translated into yet another victory.

The #20 ranked Muguruza, on the other hand, defeated Aga Radwanska 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the finals. Muguruza, who is just 21 years of age, had been to the third round of Wimbledon in 2014. Her best finish in a Grand Slam up until this point was a semi-finals appearance in the French Open in 2014.

Serena Williams is on the hunt for a "Grand Slam" after winning the Australian Open and French Open earlier this year. A victory against Muguruza would bring Williams one step closer to reality, as the last major of the year will be at the friendly confines of the US Open.

Serena Williams is playing some of the best tennis of her career right now and is obviously in the "zone". Can the young Muguruza, who has never played in a Grand Slam final, defeat the world's #1 ranked player when the lights are shining the brightest, or will Williams add yet another trophy to her collection?
