Kendall Holt will be taking on Lamont Peterson for the IBF Light Welterweight belt this Friday night. The event, which will be held at the DC Armory in Washington, DC, will be broadcast on ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

Lamont Peterson, who is the current IBF Light Welterweight champion, currently has a record of 30-1-1, with 15 of his wins coming via knockout. Lamont Peterson is coming off of a controversial split decision win over Amir Khan back in December of 2011. Prior to that, Peterson beat Victor Manuel Cayo and fought to a draw with Victor Ortiz.

The lone loss on Peterson's record is a unanimous decision loss against Timothy Bradley in December of 2009.

Kendall Holt currently has a record of 28-5-0, with 16 of his wins coming via knockout. Holt has gone 3-3 in his last six fights, beating Tim Coleman, Julio Diaz and Lenin Arroyo, while his three losses during that stretch have come at the hands of Danny Garcia, Kaizer Mabuza and Timothy Bradley.
