The English top flight football stats. Teams that have never been relegated. Each year, three teams are sent down from the English Premier League in a process called relegation, while three new teams are brought up.

Since the establishment of the English Premier League in 1992, six teams have never been relegated.

They are:

Manchester United
Arsenal
Tottenham
Liverpool
Everton
Chelsea

Unsurprisingly, these are six of the seven highest spending teams in the English Premier League. All six of these teams are intent on keeping their spots in the league, and barring catastrophic injuries, all six teams should keep their spots into the future.

Of these six teams, Arsenal holds the distinction of not being relegated from ANY competition for the longest period of time.

Arsenal's last relegation took place in 1919, long before the creation of the English Premier League. The other teams were last relegated in this years:

Arsenal - 1919
Everton - 1954
Liverpool - 1962
Manchester United - 1975
Tottenham - 1978
Chelsea - 1989

-

Everton is likely the most impressive team on this list, as they consistently spend the least of the six clubs on player salaries.

Everton spends about 40% of the amount that Manchester United spends on player salaries, though they haven't been relegated from any competition in almost 70 years.
