This event will be taking place in France in 2016 from June 10th, 2016 to July 10th, 2016. The World Cup is the world's biggest football event, but Euro 2016 is not that far behind.
For the first time ever, Euro 2016 will have a total of 24 teams, instead of the usual 16. The 24 finalists will be divided into six groups of four teams, with a knockout stage of three rounds plus a final.
Qualifying for Euro 2016 will begin in September of 2014 and run until November of 2015. Only one team, France, has qualified, as they are the host country. 53 other national teams will be fighting it out for the remaining 23 spots.
Nine cities will be hosting Euro 2016 games within France - they are: Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, St-Etienne and Toulouse. The final game will be played on July 10th, 2016 at Stade de France.
