During his career, Izzo was named to the Pro Bowl three times, and won four Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots.
According to his former teammate, Wes Welker, Izzo's most prized possession might be a game ball that he received from Bill Belichick for pulling off a seemingly impossible feat on the sideline of a game.
According to Welker, Izzo managed to go to the bathroom on the sidelines while being completely undetected.
In the words of Welker, Izzo "took a poop" without anybody watching the game knowing about it.

Head coach Bill Belichick reportedly knew what Izzo was up to, and ended up saluting the linebacker after the game.
The game ball wasn't given to somebody for a fine offensive, defensive or special teams performance - the game ball for that particular game was given to Izzo, as Belichick was so impressed that he managed to pull off the feat without being seen.
Larry Izzo, showing that he was prepared to go the extra mile to not put his team in a rough spot, gladly accepted the game ball with a laugh.
According to Wes Welker, that "game ball is probably a more prized item for him than his Super Bowl rings".

It's funny to think that Larry Izzo, who is now the special teams coordinator for the Washington Commanders, is likely best known for this sideline "incident" with the New England Patriots.
