Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino in action during the game. Wearing a black coat. At this point in the season, there is essentially only one team that can catch Chelsea for the English Premier League title, and that is Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea currently sits 7 points ahead of Tottenham with 8 games left in the season. Liverpool, with one less game to play than Chelsea, sits 12 back of the top of the table.

Tottenham Hotspur is proving to be a hot bet with punters right now, as their 11/1 odds to catch Chelsea and win the English Premier League is finding a great deal of takers. As a matter of fact, it's one of the hottest bets in the United Kingdom right now.

Chelsea, on the other hand, is seen as a near-certainty to win the title, as they are listed at 1/14 to 1/20 at most UK sports books.

Tottenham Hotspur is undoubtedly one of the hottest teams in the EPL right now, as you have to look back well over a month to find their last loss.

In addition, their upcoming schedule is very favourable, as they are set to play Watford and Bournemouth at home over the next two weeks before moving to the road to play Leicester City and Crystal Palace. Those are four games that Tottenham should win if they want to have a chance of winning the EPL title.

Chelsea also has a decent schedule, though they do play on the road against Manchester United on Sunday, April 16th. If Chelsea drops that contest, Tottenham Hotspur could find themselves within four points with six games left to play in the season.

Unfortunately for Tottenham Hotspur, they don't have any more games against Chelsea in the English Premier League this season. In addition, Chelsea has a pretty soft schedule to close out the year, as they play Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland.

Stranger things have happened, and many punters point to the clash between Man Utd and Chelsea as Tottenham's big chance to climb back into the race. If Tottenham Hotspur can get within 4 points, Chelsea might start to sweat a bit after looking assured of the title for a big portion of the season.

Can Tottenham Hotspur pull it off? If Leicester City taught us anything last season, it's that anything is possible in the English Premier League.
