The UEFA Champions League - Odds to win 2017-18 tournament. Real Madrid favourites going into semi-finals, if things go as expected on day two of second legs. Heading into the second leg games of the Champions League quarter-finals this week, most expected that Manchester City would end up falling to Liverpool. After all, Liverpool had shocked the world by notching a 3-0 victory in the first leg, and most expected that Liverpool would be able to hold off a ferocious Man City attack to move on to the semi-finals. In reality, Man City didn't put up much of a fight at all, as they actually lost their second leg game as well by a score of 2-1.

The truly shocking result on Tuesday, however, was Roma's victory over Barcelona. Roma needed a small miracle to advance to the semi-finals, and that is exactly what they got on Tuesday when they defeated Barcelona by a score of 3-0. Roma's single road goal in their 4-1 loss ended up proving to be crucial, as they held Barcelona scoreless on Tuesday, which allowed them to move on to the next round.

With that, two of the favourites to win Champions League heading into the quarter-finals, Barcelona and Manchester City, are suddenly out.

Liverpool has played much better as of late, though do they have enough to get past Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or both of those teams?

There is always a surprise or two in Champions League every year, and this year there were two in the quarter-finals alone, as both Manchester City and Barcelona were bounced in the quarter-finals.
