To give you an idea about how dominant Manchester City has been this season, Tottenham is the biggest underdog of the four first leg Champions League quarter-final matches that will be taking place on April 9th and 10th, and they will be playing in front of their home fans at their brand new stadium. While Tottenham has been one of the top teams in the English Premier League this season, there is still a wide gulf between themselves and Manchester City. Manchester City seems intent on winning both the English Premier League and Champions League this season, and Tottenham will likely have a very hard time stopping them.
Tottenham, as mentioned, is the third place team in the EPL this season, though they are a full 16 points behind Manchester City. Tottenham has been good, though Manchester City has been dominant, as they have an eye-popping 62 GD through 32 EPL games this season.
After losing to Lyon on September 19th, Man City has been dominant in Champions League action, compiling a record of 6-1-0 while thrashing the likes of Schalke 04 and Shakhtar.
Tottenham, on the other hand, looked impressive against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16, winning 4-0 in aggregate.
Man City, however, is a different beast, and Tottenham will need to play their very best for 180 minutes of total action to have a chance.
