The Rogue Vote That Denied Tom Brady Unanimous MVP Honors. Over the history of the NFL, eight players - including the likes of Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady - have secured every single vote to unanimously win an award such as MVP or Offensive Rookie of the Year.

No player in the history of the league has ever been unanimously voted for an award TWICE, but many feel that Tom Brady earned that title with his 2007 performance.

In the end, one rogue voter - and fans still speculate as to the identify of that person - spoiled Brady's unanimous MVP bid.

This isn't the first time that this has happened - voters sometimes like to go contrarian just to be different.

This happened to the likes of Peyton Manning, JJ Watt and Edgerrin James, as they all received 49 out of a total 50 votes while taking down a prestigious award.

Does it really matter? No.

There is no denying, however, that NOT voting for Tom Brady as the 2007 NFL MVP was beyond ridiculous.

To start, the Patriots went UNDEFEATED during the 2007 regular season. This was led by an unstoppable offense, which put up almost 37 points per game.

Brady's numbers were unbelievable - 4,806 passing yards, 50 passing touchdowns, just 8 interceptions. A QBR of 87.0 and over 300 passing yards per game.

Brady completed 398 passes that season for a completion percentage of 68.9%.

Brady had two 1,000+ yard receivers in Randy Moss and Wes Welker, and also seemed to make all of the crucial passes when his team needed it.

Brady also had two rushing TDs.

Brady's 2007 campaign was the DEFINITION of MVP.

So who received the other MVP vote in 2007?

The other vote went to Brett Favre, who finished his campaign with 4,155 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

The Packers had a very good season in 2007, finishing with a record of 13-3-0.

Favre had a very good year in 2007, as he got as much as he possibly could out of the Packers' offense while leading them to the playoffs.

Denying Tom Brady's monumentally impressive season, however, just to be "different" is even more laughable over 15 years later.
