Jackpot365 on Sports: How bet365's New Betslip Jackpot Works
The 2026 World Cup kicks off tomorrow, and bet365 picked a heck of a time to roll out its newest toy. It's called Jackpot365, and it lives right inside the sports betslip - a progressive jackpot that you can opt into when placing any qualifying sports bet. I've been covering the betting industry on this site for over two decades, and I can't remember another major book bolting a progressive jackpot directly onto the betslip itself. bet365 is calling it an industry first, and as far as I can tell, they're right.
So What Exactly Is Jackpot365?
If you play on bet365 Casino, you might already know the name. Jackpot365 launched on the casino side back in December 2025 as an optional progressive jackpot game that runs alongside, but separately from, eligible casino games. It doesn't touch the outcome of whatever game you're playing, and you can opt in or out whenever you like. It went over well with bet365's gaming customers - well enough that the company has now brought the exact same idea over to the sports side.
The sports version was designed and built entirely in-house at bet365. It's a multi-tier setup with four progressive jackpots running at once, and according to bet365, hundreds of jackpot wins are dropping every single day. So you're not just chasing one giant prize that hits once in a blue moon - there are four different jackpot levels in play, and the smaller ones are clearly hitting often.
How It Actually Works
There isn't much to it, honestly. Three steps:
Step 1 - Build your bet. Add any sports bet to your betslip, exactly like you normally would.Step 2 - Opt in. Enter your stake and select Opt In on the betslip. Heads up: your stake increases by an additional jackpot entry fee when you do this.Step 3 - Place the bet. Each entry gives you a chance to win one of the four jackpots.
Jackpots are paid out as cash prizes and awarded at random to players who have opted in on qualifying bets. The important part: your actual sports bet settles exactly the same whether you opted in or not. The jackpot piece runs alongside your bet, not through it. Win or lose on the pitch, the jackpot entry is its own separate thing.
The Numbers So Far
Since the December 2025 launch, Jackpot365 has paid out almost £50,000,000 across more than 112,000 jackpot wins. Quick napkin math: that works out to an average of roughly £440 per win. bet365 doesn't publish a breakdown of how those wins split across the four tiers, so I won't guess - but 112,000 wins in roughly six months tells you this thing pays out a lot more often than your typical lottery-style jackpot.
Here's what a bet365 spokesperson had to say about the sports launch:
"Jackpot365 is a wonderful addition to our bet365 sports platform, giving customers the opportunity to land a huge jackpot win on any qualifying bet. Designed and built in-house at bet365, this innovative product offering adds an extra layer of excitement and value to every visit to bet365."
Where Can You Play It?
Jackpot365 on sports is live right now in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden and Ontario, plus selected bet365.com territories. bet365 says Michigan and Brazil are next, with both expected to go live in the near future. Full terms and conditions are available on the Jackpot365 page at bet365.
The World Cup Timing Is No Accident
The 2026 World Cup runs from June 11 through July 19 across Canada, the United States and Mexico, and rolling out a betslip jackpot feature the week before kickoff is about as deliberate as product launches get. Every qualifying World Cup bet placed with the opt-in selected is an entry, and with 104 matches on the schedule, there will be no shortage of qualifying bets over the next five-plus weeks. If you were already planning to bet the tournament, the opt-in toggle is going to be sitting right there on your betslip the entire time.
Sports-King's Note: Remember that opting in raises your stake by the jackpot entry fee on every single bet. If you're placing a high volume of bets during the World Cup, those entry fees add up quickly. Treat the jackpot entries as part of your betting budget, decide in advance how much of that budget you're comfortable putting toward them, and stick to it. The opt-out is always one tap away.
