The Confederations Cup final is here and it's South America's finest taking on the best of the Europe, as Chile try to claim the title ahead of Germany.
Both sides have been immense form in the tournament thus far, with Chile's victory over Portugal in the semi-final a particular highlight for the South Americans. Meanwhile, Germany strut their stuff in an easy victory over Mexico in their semis.
The Germans are unlikely to find this game as easy though. They played Chile in the group stage and found that Alexis Sanchez and his merry men are no pushovers. That game finished 1-1 and the draw might be the wise option if you're considering betting on this game. It is priced at an attractive 12/5. Considering that Chile have already drawn two of their games in this tournament, this is an excellent price.
If you think the Chileans will go one better and defeat the mighty Germans, you can back them at around 2/1. With players such as Sanchez, Vidal and Rodriguez, there is no doubt that the South Americans have talent. However, we are not sure whether or not that talent will be enough to knock Germany off their perch.
The Europeans were excellent in their semi-final against Mexico, which they won 4-1. Goretzka(2), Werner and Younes were all on the score sheet in that game, in which they never really looked in trouble. If the Germans play to that standard against Chile, the game could be over by half time. They are priced at 7/5 to win and to us this looks like a steal!
Two of the goalscorers from that game, Leon Goretzka and Timo Werner, sit atop the top scorers list for the tournament. They are both on three goals thus far, but will be hoping to add to that tally in the final.
Werner is priced at 11/2 to get the first, while Goretzka is 14/1 with some companies. Considering his form, the latter's price is massively generous. Chile aren't without their own hotshots - Alexis Sanchez is always a good bet for first goalscorer in big games and he is priced at 11/2. Arturo Vidal is another who knows how to find the net - the Bayern Munich playmaker is around 17/2 to get the opener.
Our money is going on Julian Draxler, who looks set to lead the line for the Germans. He is priced at 7/1 to get the opening goal and we reckon he'll get it.
