Seria A Pick of the Day for the Evening of September 22nd

AS Roma hosts Siena today in the lone match of the Italian Serie A. Both teams are still winless with one draw each and a point to show for their efforts this season.

Roma lost to Cagliari in the opener and then drew away to Inter, while Siena drew their first at away at Catania and lost at home to Juventus.

AS Roma has been in a terrible run so far this year crashing out of the UEFA Europa League to Slovan Bratislava and have yet to win a match in official competitions this year. Siena, who has returned from Serie B this year might just be the right opponent for Roma to get back to their winning ways. If not Louis Enrique’s job at Roma’s bench might end tonight. Siena has a team which is lead by a more experienced Vergassola and D’agostino around who some young players have been given a chance to show their skill and so far have done well, giving a lot of problems to Juventus in their last round losing only 0-1 on Matri’s strike in the 54th minute.

Bookies are nicely favoring AS Roma here and many are playing this straight on Roma to win for a 1.60 odd. We suggest avoiding this bet, at least until they prove that they can actually score a goal or two.

Look for Siena to defend heavily in this encounter as they did against Juventus which had 59% possession on their side in the last round of the Italian Serie A.

Playing less than three goals is the way to go here with 1.90 payout. Halftime/Fulltime X/1 at 4.20 is probably the way that this match will progress with Roma scoring in the second half one or two goals to finally get the first win for the former super star player and their current coach Louis Enrique.
