Since that date, Alvarez has managed to reel off dozens and dozens of victories without dropping a single bout. 30 of Alvarez's 41 wins have come via knockout.

As mentioned, Alvarez will be defending his title against Austin Trout. Trout, five years the elder of Alvarez, has amassed a perfect 26-0-0 record over the course of his professional career, with 14 of those wins coming via knockout. Alvarez scored the biggest win of his career in his last fight, as he was able to beat Miguel Cotto via unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in December of last year.
