City on the lockdown - Odds. A major offshore sports book, Bodog, has released odds as to whether or not the United States will institute a national quarantine as a response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

A number of US states, including California and New York, have already locked themselves down in order to "flatten the curve".

President Trump has been indicating that he wants to open the country back up sooner rather than later. President Trump recently said that he wants to have "packed" churches on Easter Sunday, which is just a few weeks away.

A number of prominent scientists have come out and said that the best way to flatten the curve would be to institute a nationwide quarantine, similar to what countries like Italy and India have done.

The Coronavirus case numbers continue to rise in the United States.

The question now becomes - will the Trump Administration institute a nationwide quarantine?

Here are the betting odds for this to take place, courtesy of Bodog. As you can see, the "Yes" side is a slight favorite:

Will a Nationwide Quarantine Be Instituted in the United States?

Yes, -140
No, EVEN

According to these odds, you would need to bet $140 on the "Yes" side in order to win $100 in profit back, while the "No" line is a coin flip.

If the United States does institute a national quarantine, they will likely do it very soon, as the Coronavirus peak is expected sometime in April.
