One of the most unusual rivalries in all of sports will add another chapter to its story this weekend as Venus Williams takes on her sister, Serena Williams, in the finals of the Australian Open.

Over the course of their storied careers, Venus and Serena have played each other 27 times, with Serena holding a 16-11 advantage. Their most recent meeting came in 2015, when Serena beat her sister in the quarterfinals of the US Open to win for the 16th time.

The two sisters have both held the #1 ranking over the course of their careers, with Serena sitting at #2 and Venus sitting at #17. Serena has been the much better player over the past couple of years, though Venus has enjoyed a resurgence as of late.

This year's Australian Open could potentially have two very entertaining finals, as the Williams sisters are set to battle on the women's side, while Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer may end up clashing on Sunday, provided that Nadal can win tomorrow.

Fans of tennis should enjoy what they are about to see this weekend, as we may never see either of these two potential matches in a Grand Slam final ever again.
