The over/under odds for Super Bowl XLVII, which will pit the Baltimore Ravens vs the San Francisco 49ers, have now been released.

The 49ers and Ravens both averaged a shade under 25 points per game on offense in the regular season, with the Ravens averaging 24.9 points per game and the 49ers averaging 24.8 points per game. Having said that, Colin Kaepernick took over as the 49ers QB over halfway through the regular season, and their offense has become considerably more dynamic since he took over the reins at QB.

On the defensive side of the ball, the 49ers had the second best defense in the league in the regular season, allowing just 17.1 points per game and less than 300 yards per game of offense. The Ravens, who typically have one of the league's top defenses, allowed 21.5 points per game this season. Again, this is a bit misleading, as the Ravens' defense dealt with injuries to Terrell Suggs AND Ray Lewis during the season, and both men are key cogs in the Ravens' defense.

Another note will contemplating the over/under line at the Super Bowl - both Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco are playing exceptional football right now. Everybody is talking about Colin Kaepernick, but Joe Flacco has been a force this offseason as well.

With all of that in mind, here is where the over/under line currently sits as of this moment:

48 Points

The odds for the over/under line currently look like this:

Over 48 Points, -105
Under 48 Points, -115

The conditions for the game will be perfect, as the game is being played inside of the Mercedez-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Will it turn into a high-scoring track meet, or will the potent 49ers and Ravens' defenses step up and make this a low scoring affair?
