"Smokin' Joe" Frazier began his professional career in 1965, quickly rising to the top ranks. He won the World Heavyweight title in 1970 after defeating Jimmy Ellis, during a period when Muhammad Ali had lost his title due to refusing military induction.

His nickname, "Smokin' Joe", epitomizes his aggressive boxing style and a fiery spirit that made him a legendary figure in boxing history.

Frazier is renowned for his trilogy with Ali, especially the "Fight of the Century" in 1971 where he handed Ali his first loss, and the epic "Thrilla in Manila" in 1975.
