Bisping vs Belfort Betting Line

Michael "The Count" Bisping will take on Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort in the main event of UFC on FX 7: Bisping vs Belfort on Saturday, January 19th, 2013. The fight will be taking place on Belfort's home soil in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

There is a great deal on the line in this fight, especially for Michael Bisping. UFC President Dana White has already stated that Bisping will earn himself a shot at Anderson Silva's middleweight title with a win over Belfort. Bisping has been in title contender eliminator matches before (two actually - one against Dan Henderson and one against Chael Sonnen, both of which he lost) - can he capitalize this time around?

Belfort, on the other hand, is looking to re-establish his momentum after losing to Jon "Bones" Jones at UFC 152. Prior to that fight, Belfort had won two fights in a row, including wins over Anthony Johnson and Yoshihiro Akiyama.

Michael Bisping, as he is prone to do, has been trash-talking Belfort in the weeks and months leading up to the fight. Bisping is a master at building tension and selling fights, and he has been doing an admirable job in building up his upcoming fight against Belfort as well. Given the fact that this fight is taking place in Brazil, it should be quite the atmosphere by the time that Belfort and Bisping step into the Octagon.

Here are the current odds for the Bisping/Belfort fight:

Vitor Belfort, -125
Michael Bisping, -105

These odds mean that Belfort is a SLIGHT favorite. A $125 bet on Belfort would yield a $100 profit, while a $105 bet on Bisping would yield a $100 profit.

As far as main events go, that is about as close as it gets.
