The heavily favored Florida Gators will do battle against the Louisville Cardinals in this year's Sugar Bowl.

The Florida Gators finished the season as the #3 ranked team in the BCS, behind only the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Louisville, on the other hand, finished as the #21 ranked team in the BCS standings.

Florida finished their campaign with a record of 11-1, finishing behind only the Georgia Bulldogs in their conference. The only team that the Gators lost to this year was the Georgia Bulldogs, and that loss came in a tightly contested 17-9 game. Florida was able to notch victories over the likes of Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina and Florida State this year.

The Louisville Cardinals, on the other hand, finished their campaign with a record of 10-2, including a 5-2 record in the Big East. Louisville's two losses came against Syracuse and Connecticut during the second half of the season.
