How would a Heavyweight battle between Jon "Bones" Jones and Brock Lesnar go?

According to bookmakers, the result likely wouldn't be close.

In the lead-up to UFC 214 this week, Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar went after each other a bit in the media. Jones was asked about a potential fight against Lesnar, and the former Heavyweight champion responded.

Shortly after defeating Daniel Cormier for the second time on Saturday night, Jones called out Lesnar once again. Lesnar immediately responded via the media, saying that Jones should be "careful what he wishes for".

Jones, who was out of action for an extended period of time, is looking for a big money fight and Lesnar would certainly qualify.

In order to make the fight happen, Jones would obviously have to jump up to Heavyweight.

According to the bookmakers, Jones would be a big favourite in any contest between the two men:

Jon Jones, 1.29
Brock Lesnar, 4.05

Lesnar is currently under suspension and likely wouldn't be able to fight until December at the earliest. How would Lesnar look if he was being stringently tested by USADA in the lead-up to a fight against Jones? Would he retain his strength and explosiveness?

Brock Lesnar basically has one weapon and that is his wrestling. Jones, on the other hand, has some of the best takedown defence in the UFC. If Jones could keep the fight standing, Lesnar would have next to no chance of winning.

Jones, on the other hand, is much better on the feet than Lesnar, and it is hard to imagine the former Heavyweight champion having anything for Jones in that regard.

With the new owners of the UFC, fights like Lesnar/Jones are a possibility as the company is trending towards more and more of these big money "super fights". Despite Alexander Gustafsson patiently waiting in the wings for a shot at Jones, there seems to be a growing chance that the UFC actually puts together Jon Jones vs Brock Lesnar, perhaps on the company's Super Bowl weekend card in 2018.
