The lowest-scoring high school basketball game of all time took place in 2015. When Bibb County squared off against Brookwood in an Alabama high school basketball game in February of 2015, the crowd that was present had no idea that they were about to witness history.

For the second time in nearly 40 years, a high school basketball game in the United States was set to end with a score of 2-0.

An important note leading into this game - both teams were playing their fourth game of the week, and both teams were tired.

Bibb County scored a quick basket just 15 seconds into the game, and that would be the last basket scored ALL GAME.

A second important note: there was no 24-second shot clock.

A third important note: Bibb County played zone defense and wouldn't switch out of the zone no matter what.

Brookwood's coach Thad Fitzpatrick came up with a strategy - with no 24-second shot clock, and with Bibb County content to play zone defense, Brookwood was going to hold the ball for the ENTIRE QUARTER and fire up a shot right before the buzzer went.

They did this in the first quarter, and missed on their last-second shot.

They did this in the second quarter, and missed on their last-second shot once again.

The score was 2-0 going into the second half.

Bibb County decided that they were going to do the same thing in the second half, and they held the ball for the entire third quarter before firing off a shot at the end of the quarter (and missing).

Brookwood got the ball to start the fourth quarter, and they held it until there were just 15 seconds left in the quarter.

Now, with the team down by two points, they had to make a move.

With 15 seconds left in the quarter, Brookwood TURNED IT OVER, which allowed Bibb County to run out the clock for the win.

Final score - Bibb County 2, Brookwood 0.

Both teams were fully capable of scoring, as they had played a 40-36 game earlier in the season.

The coaches just thought that they would get their teams some rest in the 2-0 game, and then stubbornly dug their heels.

All in all - likely the worst high school basketball game of all time.
