Six Consecutive Nights of Euro Cup Qualifiers - Matchday 2 and Matchday 3 - October 9th - 14th, 2014

European Qualifiers - Euro 2016 - LogoThe new format of the Euro Cup and Euro Cup qualifiers has it's positives and it's negatives.

The positive part is that out of 54 European nations, nearly half (24) will qualify to the final tournament (up to now was 16), which gives the smaller countries a chance to perform on the big stage. In the new format, the qualification games are spread out over several days, giving the football fans a chance to watch the matches they previously did not have a chance to watch.

The negative side of the watered down format is that the excitement of qualifications is just about taken out of the equation, as the strong football nations, the ones that will ultimately make a difference in the Euro Cup finals, are going to cruise through the group stage, making the whole process somewhat redundant.

Having said that, out of 52 games that are taking place between October 9th and 14th of 2014, there are some good ones.
