Stampeders Look to Extend Perfect Record This Week

According to the oddsmakers, the Calgary Stampeders currently have the best odds of winning the Grey Cup, as they are currently listed at 3.75 to win.

The Ottawa Redblacks, on the other hand, are on the opposite end of the spectrum, as they are currently listed at 26.00 to win the Grey Cup. Highly unlikely considering that they are an expansion team!

Here are the full odds as of this moment:

Calgary Stampeders, 3.75
Saskatchewan Roughriders, 5.50
Edmonton Eskimos, 6.50
British Columbia Lions, 7.50
Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 7.50
Hamilton Tigercats, 9.00
Toronto Argonauts, 10.00
Montreal Alouettes, 11.00
Ottawa Redblacks, 26.00

The BC Lions were the favourites to win the Grey Cup before the season started, mainly due to the fact that they will be hosting the event this year. A 2-3 start, however, has hurt the Lions' chances.

The Calgary Stampeders, by virtue of their perfect start, are now the favourites to win at 3.75. This is especially impressive given the fact that Jon Cornish, the team's top running back, is currently on the 6-game injured list.

The Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers are both 4-1, while the Saskatchewan Roughriders are 2-2.

The East is inexpicably bad so far this season, as each of the conference's four teams have only one win to their names. Barring something dramatic happening, don't expect the Grey Cup winner to come from the East Coast.
