1991
1992
1993
1994

It was these four years that saw the Buffalo Bills lose FOUR straight Super Bowls.

The Buffalo Bills have the distinction of being the only team to ever appear in four straight Super Bowls.

Unfortunately for the Bills, they lose them all.

-

Super Bowl XXV saw the 13-3 Buffalo Bills square off against the 13-3 New York Giants.

The Bills were absolutely loaded, as they had the likes of Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed and James Lofton on their team.

It was not surprising that the Bills were installed as 7 point favorites to win the game.

The Giants had a very good defense, led by Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, though the Bills had a shot to win it in the last seconds of the game.

Scott Norwood would miss a last-second field goal wide right, and the Giants would win the game.

The Bills were down but not out, and they vowed to return to the Super Bowl the next year.

-

At Super Bowl XXVI, the 13-3 Bills were playing against the 14-2 Washington Redskins.

The Redskins had an absolutely dynamic offense, as they led the league in scoring.

This was a recipe for disaster for the Bills, as their defense had allowed the second most total yards in the league.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Redskins blew the game wide open, taking a 17-0 lead into halftime.

Jim Kelly was picked off four times in the game, and the Redskins won by a score of 37-24.

-

The Bills' run of bad luck would continue at Super Bowl XXVII, as they would run into a blossoming dynasty - the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys would win the game by a score of 52-17. The game was a total disaster for the Bills, as Jim Kelly would get hurt in the second quarter.

The Cowboys would destroy the Bills over the course of the game, forcing a Super Bowl record nine turnovers en route to their lopsided win.

Most teams would have packed it up after such an embarrassing loss, but, to their credit, the Bills would return to the Super Bowl yet again the following season.

-

At Super Bowl XXVIII, the Bills and Cowboys would square off for the second straight year, and the result would be the same.

While this game was a bit closer, the Cowboys would still win convincingly by a score of 30-13.

It seemed as though the Bills might be on their way to winning, as they had a 13-6 lead at the half.

The play of the game came early in the 3rd quarter, when Thurman Thomas was stripped of the ball and James Washington ran it into the endzone for the Cowboys.

The Buffalo Bills would completely fall apart from that point, as they wouldn't score another point in the game.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, would cement their dynasty, led by the likes of Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin and Charles Haley.

-

The Buffalo Bills haven't returned to the Super Bowl since losing to the Cowboys at Super Bowl XXVIII.
