2019 Miami Dolphins offensive woes. The 2019 Miami Dolphins may have had the worst rushing attack in the history of the NFL.

The team, which finished the season with a record of 5-11-0, was led by 37 year-old quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The rushing attack of the 2019 Miami Dolphins was SO bad that Ryan Fitzpatrick, who wasn't the most mobile QB in the league (his top rushing season produced 304 yards), led the team in rushing yards.

The 2019 Miami Dolphins rushed for just 1,156 yards in 349 attempts.

The 2019 Dolphins were dead last in the league in rushing yards, dead last in rushing attempts and 31st in yards per rushing attempt.

The team had a revolving door of subpar running backs, including the likes of Mark Walton, Kenyan Drake, Myles Gaskin and Patrick Laird.

Things were so bad that 37 year-old Ryan Fitzpatrick led the team in rushing yards, as he rushed for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns on 54 attempts.

In fact, Fitzpatrick was third on the team in rushing attempts, behind Patrick Laird and Kalen Ballage.

As you can imagine, the Dolphins were heavily reliant on Fitzpatrick's arm during the 2019 season.

As you can also imagine, teams were blitzing early and often against the Dolphins, as they knew that the Dolphins couldn't do much on the ground.

This resulted in Fitzpatrick being on the run for most of the season - Fitzpatrick ended up getting sacked 40 times in just 13 starts during the. 2019 season, while the back-up quarterback, Josh Rosen, was sacked 16 times in 6 appearances.

Devante Parker was the main beneficiary of the Dolphins' woeful rushing attack, as he was targeted 128 times over the course of the season, while receiving 72 catches for 1,202 yards.

The next closest player was Mike Gesicki, who finished the season with 570 receiving yards.

As you can see, the Dolphins were almost completely reliant on Fitzpatrick and Parker for their offense during the 2019 regular season.
