Born in Dakar, Senegal, Evra began his professional journey in Italy, playing for Marsala and Monza.

He made a big impact when he joined AS Monaco in 2002. At Monaco, he played an important role in their run to the UEFA Champions League final in 2004, though they were beaten by Jose Mourinho's FC Porto.

In January 2006, Evra made a move that marked a significant part of his club career. He transferred to Manchester United. Under the leadership of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, Evra played really well, winning five Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2008. His skill on the left side of the field and his ability to work hard, move quickly, and attack made him one of the best left-backs in the world.

After Manchester United, Evra played for other clubs like Juventus, where he won two Serie A titles, and then at Marseille and West Ham United.

Internationally, Evra wore the French jersey with pride, playing in several European Championships and World Cups. He played for France more than 80 times.

Outside of football, "Uncle Pat" or "Tonton Pat" in French, as many people call him, has become popular on social media. This nickname, which became more famous after he retired, is often used by Evra, speaking in third person about himself, and has become a favorite among fans. Another nickname for Patrice is "the Black Gazelle," which highlights his agility and speed on the field.

Evra was known for his leadership both on and off the football pitch. He had the honor of being the captain of both France national team and Manchester United FC.
