Fedor had an unbeaten streak from April 2001 to June 2010, where he didn't lose a single fight. This streak is one of the most impressive in the history of mixed martial arts. He was the reigning Pride Heavyweight Champion from 2003 until the organization disbanded in 2007.

Because of his unmached dominance in the sport, resembling the rule of an emperor, Fedor Emelianenko was often called "The Last Emperor".

One of Emelianenko's signature tactics was his ground-and-pound. Once he had taken an opponent to the ground, he could deliver powerful strikes that often signaled the end of the fight.

Fedor Emelianenko was known for his mental toughness. He was calm and composed during fights, and had the ability to stay focused under pressure.
