What a difference a day makes.

Lebron James stunned the sports world when he officially announced that he would be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2014/15 regular season. This came after a fruitful four years in Miami that produced four NBA Finals appearances and two titles.

Heading into this offseason, it certainly appeared as though the "Big Three" (Wade, James and Bosh) would remain intact, though with lower salaries in order to attract a better array of talent to play around them. This didn't end up happening, however, and now the "Big Three" has been disbanded.

Prior to the free agency period getting underway, the Cleveland Cavaliers were listed at 100/1 to win the NBA title. In other words, no shot.

However, with the signing of Lebron James, the Cavaliers are now the new favourites to win the title.

Here are the current betting odds for the top five teams:

Cleveland Cavaliers, 7/2
San Antonio Spurs, 5/1
Houston Rockets, 13/2
Oklahoma City Thunder, 13/2
Chicago Bulls, 15/2

The Cavaliers are apparently making a full-court press for Kevin Love as well, as this move would significantly bolster their chances against some of the better teams in the West.

Assuming that the Cavaliers can get Love from Minnesota, their starting five on opening day will include Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. The new "Big Three"? Indeed.

In case you were wondering - the Miami Heat, sans Chris Bosh (he's going to Houston) and Lebron James, are now 50/1 to win the NBA title next year.
