The upcoming MMA event in Mexico City will feature a Stephens vs. Rodriguez featherweight fight. The main event of the UFC's most recent trip to Mexico City will see Yair Rodriguez take on Jeremy Stephens in a Featherweight tilt.

Yair Rodriguez is known for his extremely flashy striking - his most famous knockout likely came against "The Korean Zombie", when a last second elbow won Rodriguez the fight. Rodriguez has some of the most unbelievable striking in the UFC, though he is certainly prone to long periods of mediocrity, as evidenced by the Korean Zombie fight.

Jeremy Stephens is one of the hardest hitters in the Featherweight division, and is fighting to potentially move closer to a shot at the title. Stephens looked to be on his way up the ladder before losing in consecutive fights to Jose Aldo and Zabit Magomedsharipov - it goes without saying that Stephens desperately needs a win in Saturday's fight, though his fighting style likely means that he has quite a bit more rope before the UFC would consider letting him go.

Jeremy Stephens is an experienced fighter, and I think that Yair will do well to conserve his energy, as he doesn't want to blow his gas tank early. In order to win the fight, Rodriguez will need to avoid Stephens' power shots and make sure to pace himself.

Stephens, on the other hand, needs to land early in order to throw Rodriguez off of his game. Stephens possesses some tremendous power in his hands, and he will be looking to end the fight early on.
