Louis Van Gaal The Current Favourite To Receive Post

According to the bookmakers, David Moyes will be the next Premier League manager to leave his post. Betfair currently lists the odds of Moyes being the next EPL manager to leave his post at 1.22, which is far ahead the likes of Alan Pardew and Gus Poyet.

This is certainly not a surprise as Manchester United has struggled mightily this season. As of this moment, Man Utd is currently in 7th place in the EPL, far behind the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City. Heading into this season, Man Utd was expected to compete for the English Premier League title but things have turned out to be an utter disappointment.

Not only will Man Utd miss out on Champions League next season, but their current predicament means that they are in very real danger of missing out on Europa League action as well as Tottenham is currently on track to qualify for the final spot.

These results are an obvious disaster for one of the world's richest and most popular football clubs and somebody will need to pay the price.

So who might be next at Man Utd?

The current odds-on favourite is Louis Van Gaal. Van Gaal is the current manager of the Dutch national team and has formerly coached Ajax, Barcelona, AZ and Bayern Munich. According to the oddsmakers, Van Gaal is currently about 4.5 to be named the next manager of Manchester United.

Here are some of the other possibilities:

Jurgen Klopp, 7.00
Ryan Giggs, 7.00
Carlos Queiroz, 17.00
Diego Simeone, 19.00
Sir Alex Ferguson, 17.00

Might Sir Alex Ferguson be brought back into service to save Manchester United? According to the oddsmakers, there is at least a small chance of this taking place.

Jurgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund) and Ryan Giggs (player-coach for Man Utd) are both being given decent odds of being tabbed as the next Man Utd manager. Will the club look within their own ranks to fill the position or will they look to somebody like Jurgen Klopp or Louis Van Gaal?

The situation is fluid right now - don't be surprised if more names are added to the list of potential candidates over the coming weeks. Despite their struggles, Manchester United is still one of the richest and most visible football clubs in the world.
