This week's Monday night game in the English Premier League will see Swansea play host to Watford.

While the Monday night game this week might not feature very prominent teams, there is a great deal at stake for both sides. Watford could move all the way from 12th to a 7th place tie with a win on Monday, while Swansea City is currently sitting in 18th place. A win for Swansea on Monday would move them out of the relegation spot, as they would vault above Newcastle to take over the 17th place spot.

Let's take a quick look at the odds for Monday's match:

Swansea, 2.40
Draw, 3.00
Watford, 3.25

As you can see, Swansea has the slight edge to win, though you shouldn't feel too overwhelmed about any of the potential outcomes. Even the likeliest outcome, Swansea to win outright, is trading at less than even money.

Swansea City has been absolutely terrible at home so far this season, managing a meagre 1.18 points per game. Watford, on the other hand, has been respectable away from home, posting a total of 15 points over the course of their first 10 away games.

Both teams have been horrific as of late, with Swansea City having dropped their last two in a row, while Watford has lost three in a row. Watford's long winning streak, which included a 3-0 win at home over Liverpool, seems like ages ago.

Swansea City has had a hard time finding the net so far this year, managing just 19 goals. Their defence, on the other hand, has been porous, as they have allowed their opponents to score 30 goals.
