Round 1 of UEFA World Cup 2018 qualifying will get underway this weekend with a number of interesting matches, including Slovakia v England, Norway v Germany and Czech Republic v Northern Ireland.

There are a total of 58 "European" teams vying for one of 13 available spots for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. This gives the European bracket of the World Cup qualifiers the most number of spots to Russia in 2018, and teams like England will be looking to capitalize.

Here is how Group F looks:

England
Slovakia
Scotland
Slovenia
Lithuania
Malta

England, thanks to talents like Vardy and Kane, is expected to easily get through this group.

Here are the current odds for Sunday's game between Slovakia and England, which is set to take place in Slovakia:

Slovakia, 4.50
Draw, 3.40
England, 1.95

Slovakia is a substantial underdog, while England is slightly better than a coin flip to win.

Oddsmakers believe that this will be a defensive contest, as the 2.5 goal over/under line currently looks like this:

Over 2.5 Goals, 2.40
Under 2.5 Goals, 1.53

Can England shrug off a very disappointing appearance at the 2016 Euro tournament, or will Slovakia give them all that they can handle on Sunday?
