Seattle Seahawks Climbing After Reeling Off Four Straight Impressive Wins

While other teams are fading, the Seattle Seahawks are seemingly getting stronger by the week.

Heading into the start of the season, the Seahawks were co-favorites to win the Super Bowl along with the Denver Broncos.

The Seahawks stumbled midway through the season and their odds of winning the Super Bowl once again decreased dramatically. Marshawn Lynch was unhappy, Percy Harvin was traded and there were rumors of internal locker room strife involving Russell Wilson. The Seahawks, who had been favored to repeat as Super Bowl champions, were now in danger of missing the playoffs.

A funny thing started to happen, however. The Seattle Seahawks defense, which was so ferocious last year, suddenly became ferocious once again. The Seahawks have now reeled off a bunch of wins in a row, thanks, in large part, to a suddenly resurgent and stingy offense.

Thanks to their recent strong performance, the Seahawks now have the fourth best odds of winning the Super Bowl. Here are the odds for the top five teams as of this moment:

Denver Broncos, 7/2
New England Patriots, 7/2
Green Bay Packers, 7/2
Seattle Seahawks, 5/1
Philadelphia Eagles, 18/1

Of the five top teams, you could easily make the argument that the Seahawks are playing the best as of this moment. With the playoffs just a few weeks away, and with the Seahawks the defending Super Bowl champions, they may just be the odds-on favorites once again to win the Super Bowl for the second straight year.
