Martina Hingis was the more decorated player of the two. She won 5 Grand Slam singles in her career and 13 Grand Slam doubles. She was the youngest ever Grand Slam champion and also the youngest ever female tennis number one. For a period of 29 weeks she was both the singles and doubles number one in the world. Famous for her two-handed backhand down the line, Martina is a tennis great.

Aside from winning two Australian Opens with Hingis, Anna Kournikova never won a singles Grand Slam title, but she was a top ten ranked player at one point in time. With Anna, it was never just about tennis. Kournikova was one of the most beautiful women in sports and had a celebrity status because of it.

Martina and Anna called themselves the "Spice Girls of Tennis", referencing the popular girl band from the United Kingdom. And with all the attention they drew from fans and the press alike, they certainly were.
