Preseason Football Kicks Off Later Tonight

After months of waiting, fans will finally get their first taste of NFL action when the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants clash in the "Hall of Fame" game later tonight.

The "Hall of Fame" game coincides with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio. The game, which marks the official start of the preseason, will see the Giants take on the Bills in Canton, Ohio. Both teams had one of their all-time greats inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday night, as Michael Strahan was inducted for the Giants, while Andre Reed went in for the Bills.

Both the Giants and Bills had disappointing years last season, and both teams will be looking to make a run for the playoffs. However, you won't get much of an idea as to how the teams may look this year, as both teams will be relying heavily on their backups.

Here are the odds for Sunday's Hall of Fame game:

Buffalo Bills, -3, 1.86

Game Totals

Over 37.0, 1.90
Under 37.0, 1.90

Buffalo Bills, 1.62

Is it possible to have an edge to bet on a preseason game? Probably not.

So, having said that, how can the Buffalo Bills be listed at 1.62 to win straight up? That is a question that maybe somebody who is smarter than me can answer, as it seems nearly impossible to figure that one team could be three point favorites over another in a game that features back-up players and players who will not be making the team.

In any case, if you enjoy the NFL, rejoice in the knowledge that the league officially kicks off in Canton, Ohio later tonight.
