Gray Maynard Slight Favorite Over Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard will square off in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 18 finale later this evening in Las Vegas.

This will be the "rubber match" between the two fighters - Diaz won their first fight in the semi-finals of The Ultimate Fighter 5, while Gray Maynard took a split decision victory in January of 2010.

Both men are eager to rebound after recent losses - Diaz is currently mired in a two fight losing streak (Henderson, Thomson), while Maynard is looking to rebound following a loss to TJ Grant.

Gray Maynard is a small favorite to win this evening - here are the current betting odds:

Gray Maynard, -140
Nate Diaz, +110

So, according to these odds, a successful $140 bet on Maynard would yield a total profit of $100, while a successful $100 bet on Diaz would return a total profit of $110.

Odds makers are expecting this fight to last at least 2 1/2 rounds - here are the current over/under odds for the fight:

Over 2 1/2 Rounds, -220
Under 2 1/2 Rounds, +155

Remember - Maynard/Diaz is a main event fight, which means that it is scheduled for 5 rounds.

Maynard will look to push Diaz around and beat him up on the ground, while Diaz will be looking to either submit Maynard or outlast the "Bully" on the feet. Maynard will need to pace himself against the phenomenally fit Diaz, or else this could be a very long night for the former Lightweight title contender.
