"MLS is Back Tournament" Set To Begin on July 8th

This years American soccer league tournament will be held in Orlando.  One location. The group stage draw for the upcoming "MLS is Back Tournament" took place earlier today.

There will be a total of six groups that will include all 26 MLS teams. Group A will have a total of six teams, while the remaining five groups will have a total of four teams.

The top two teams from each group will move to the Quarter-Finals, as well as the four best third-place finishers.

Here are the six groups:

Group A

Orlando
Inter Miami
NYCFC
Philadelphia
Chicago
Nashville

Group B

Seattle
Dallas
Vancouver
San Jose

Group C

Toronto
New England
Montreal
DC

Group D

Real Salt Lake
Sporting KC
Colorado
Minnesota

Group E

Atlanta
Cincinnati
New York Red Bulls
Columbus

Group F

LAFC
LA Galaxy
Houston
Portland

The matchups for Groups B-F are self-explanatory - each team squares off against the other teams in the group once.

Group A is a bit trickier based on the fact that it has six teams. Here are the matches for each team in that group:

Orlando City SC plays Miami, NYC and Nashville
Inter Miami CF plays Orlando, Philadelphia and Chicago
New York City FC plays Orlando, Philadelphia and Chicago
Philadelphia plays Miami, New York City FC and Nashville
Chicago plays Miami, New York City and Nashville
Nashville plays Orlando, Philadelphia and Chicago

LAFC remains the favourite to win the tournament after the Group Stage draw, as they are currently listed at +450 to win.
