MMA Punch - Illustration - Artistic. UFC 211: Miocic vs dos Santos II takes place on May 13th in Dallas, Texas.

The card is stacked with compelling and close match-ups, with none as close (in the eyes of the bookmakers, anyways) as the Heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos.

Stipe Miocic is looking to make the second successful defence of his title on May 13th, as he is coming off of a knockout win over Alistair Overeem. Overeem had Miocic hurtly badly in that fight but wasn't able to finish off the resilient Miocic. Miocic has only lost twice in his career, with one of those losses coming against Junior dos Santos in December of 2014. That was a controversial decision, as many people thought that Miocic did enough in that fight to win.

Junior dos Santos, on the other hand, is coming off of a win against Ben Rothwell in April of 2016. Dos Santos is 3-3 in his last six fights - not the most impressive record, though all of his losses came against top guys. In actuality, dos Santos gained this title shot largely by default, as top names like Cain Velasquez are currently injured.

That being said, dos Santos is a former title holder who will give the champion a very tough fight. Dos Santos has some of the best boxing in the UFC and has an iron chin, as evidenced by his trilogy of fights against Cain Velasquez.

Here are the betting odds for this fight:

Junior dos Santos, 2.00
Stipe Miocic, 1.83

Dos Santos is a coin flip to win, while Miocic is a bit better than even money. Both fighters have the striking to finish the fight early, though both men have strong chins and deep gas tanks.

In a night filled with great fights, Miocic/dos Santos II stands above them all, as this fight should be a barn-burner.
