The Old Trafford Stadium - Empty stands. New season is upon us. Manchester United will open their 2017-18 in the friendly confines of Old Trafford on Sunday, August 13th.

Despite losing the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Zlatan suffered an injury at the end of last service and Man Utd decided not to sign him), Manchester United enters this season with the third best odds to win the English Premier League, behind Chelsea and Manchester City. After a few decidedly poor seasons, Manchester United bounced back last year by winning the Europa League title, which means that they will be back in Champions League action this season.

Can Man Utd build on last year's successes to make a push into the table of the English Premier League table? Fans of the club are hopeful and are looking for Man Utd to get off to a strong start this season.

Manchester United should be able to notch a victory to start the season as they play at home against West Ham. Here are the current betting odds:

Man Utd, 4/13
Draw, 5/1
West Ham, 12/1

One familiar name will be notably absent this season, as long-time mainstay Wayne Rooney moved to Everton in the offseason. Manchester United will have plenty of weapons, however, as they will be looking to names such as Paul Pogba and Juan Mata to lead the charge this season.

West Ham, on the other hand, is expected to finish somewhere in the middle of the table, as they currently have 350-1 odds to win, which puts them amongst the likes of Leicester and Southampton.
