On August 18th, 2015, Manchester United will play host to Club Brugge in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifying match. The second leg is to take place eight days later.

The winner of Manchester United vs Club Brugge will claim a spot in the Champions League group stage, where they will join teams such as Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

By virtue of their fourth place finish in the English Premier League last season, Manchester United has earned themselves a spot in this qualifying round. Club Brugge is an opponent that Manchester United SHOULD beat, though given the troubles that the team has had over the past couple of years, Man Utd fans are still far from confident.

Club Brugge, on the other hand, will have nothing to lose in this match, as nobody, except their most loyal supporters, expects them to win.

Here are the current betting odds for the first leg of Man Utd vs Club Brugge:

Man Utd, 1.20
Draw, 6.00
Club Brugge, 12.00

Manchester United's five most recent signings have all been confirmed for this match.

Here are the current odds to qualify for the Champions League group stage:

Man Utd, 1.10
Club Brugge, 6.50

An appearance in the Champions League group stage would be a major lift for Manchester United, as their franchise has been battered by underperformance over the past couple of years.

Club Brugge, on the other hand, will be looking to play the role of spoiler on Tuesday.
