The already massive Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez card (September 14th) got even bigger on Thursday after it was announced that Lucas Martin Matthysse would be fighting Danny "Swift" Garcia on the undercard.

Lucas Martin Matthysse, who is currently the #1 ranked Light Welterweight in the world, will be squaring off against the undefeated Danny Garcia for the WBA Super World light welterweight and WBC light welterweight titles.

Matthysse, who currently has a record of 34-2-0 (32 knockouts), is coming off of an emphatic victory over Lamont Peterson, while Danny Garcia is coming off of an unanimous decision victory over Zab Judah in April. Garcia is currently the #2 ranked light welterweight in the world.

Here are the current betting odds for this fight:

Lucas Martin Matthysse, -275
Danny Garcia, +200

So, according to these odds, Matthysse is almost a 3 to 1 favorite to win. A $275 bet on Matthysse could produce a total profit of $100, while a successful $100 wager on Garcia would return a profit of $200.

As if the Mayweather/Alvarez card wasn't already insane enough, fight promoters are talking about adding a THIRD marquee fight to the card as well.
