Man Utd, Leicester and Chelsea Also in Action

On Saturday, December 31st, a full slate of English Premier League action will return as teams like Man Utd, Manchester City and Chelsea help to kick off your New Year's Eve celebrations.
There will be a total of seven matches on December 31st, including a battle between Liverpool and Manchester City. This match has taken on even more importance, as the two teams currently sit second and third respectively in the table. Liverpool sits six points back of league-leading Chelsea, while Manchester City is currently 7 points back. It goes without saying that both teams desperately need a win if they hope to remain in the race for the league title.

Chelsea should beat Stoke, which means that both Liverpool and Manchester City will be desperately fighting for a win to keep pace.
The only other game that has any real importance at the top of the table is Manchester United vs Middlesbrough. Manchester United is currently sitting in 6th place and is looking to continue making a push so that they can possibly secure a Champions League spot for next year. Manchester United has won its last 4 EPL matches in a row and is looking to continue its assault on the top of the table.
