On Monday, December 26th, 2016, the King George VI Chase will take place at Kempton Park.

The race, which is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase, is open to horses aged 4 or older, and is run over a 3 mile track.

The race is part of the William Hill Winter Festival.

The event was first run in February of 1937 and was named after King George VI. In 1947, the race was moved to Boxing Day, where it remains to this day.
