Robbie Lawler vs Josh Koscheck Odds

Josh Koscheck will welcome Robbie Lawler back to the UFC at UFC 157: Carmouche vs Rousey, which is set to take place on Saturday, February 23rd.

Robbie Lawler was a fixture in Strikeforce, fighting for the company from June of 2009 all the way until the promotion's demise earlier this year. During that time, Lawler amassed a 3-5 record, posting wins over the likes of Matt Lindland, Melvin Manhoef and Adlan Amagov. Lawler is a former UFC fighter, having last fought in the promotion way back in October of 2004 at UFC 50. Lawler's last UFC fight was a submission loss to Evan Tanner.

Josh Koscheck has a lifetime record of 17-6-0, and has fought nearly his entire career in the UFC. Josh Koscheck has fought for the title once, dropping a decision loss to current Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre at UFC 124. Koscheck is coming off of a close loss to Johny Hendricks at UFC on Fox: Diaz vs Miller and is looking to get back into the win column.

Koscheck is currently a big favorite to beat Lawler next Saturday night.

Here are the current betting odds, courtesy of Bodog:

Josh Koscheck, -500
Robbie Lawler, +350

These odds mean that a $500 bet on Koscheck would yield a total profit of $100, while a successful $100 bet on Lawler would yield a total return of $350.

The path to victory for both men is pretty clear.

Josh Koscheck will almost certainly be looking to use his strong wrestling to take Lawler to the ground and beat him up, while Lawler will be looking to score a knockout. I would expect this fight to play out similar to how Daley vs Koscheck went down at UFC 113.
