According to bookmakers, Jordan Spieth is currently listed at 9.00 to win The Open, which officially gets underway later today/early tomorrow morning, depending on where you live.

Jordan Spieth has seen his profile surge in recent months after winning both the Masters and the US Open tournaments. At just 21 years of age, Spieth has taken the golf world by storm and he has some comparing his game to the early dominance that was shown by Tiger Woods.

Can Spieth continue his run of dominance, especially on the tricky course that will be played at the 144th Open Championship?

Here are the current betting odds for Spieth and the rest of the top players to win:

Jordan Spieth, 9.00
Dustin Johnson, 13.00
Rickie Fowler, 17.00
Adam Scott, 21.00
Henrik Stenson, 21.00
Justin Rose, 21.00
Louis Oosthuizen, 26.00
Jason Day, 34.00
Sergio Garcia, 36.00
Tiger Woods, 36.00
Bubba Watson, 41.00

Note: Rory McIlroy is still recovering from an injury and will not be participating this weekend.

According to bookmakers, Jordan Spieth has a 11.11% chance of winning "The Open" this weekend.

It should be noted that Rickie Fowler recently won the Scottish Open and is playing some exceptional golf heading into this event. Fowler may just be the person to take if you want to take someone other than Jordan Spieth.

As mentioned, "The Open" always provides a set of challenges that North American courses typically do not provide.

It will be interesting to see who can maintain their games in the harsh weather that is surely to be seen this weekend.
