Amazing Atmosphere at River Plate's Estadio Monumental

Estadio Monumental, the largest stadium in Argentina, was the place to be on Thursday, November 27th, when River Plate hosted Boca Juniors in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana semi-finals.

Here is a little taste of the atmosphere, right before the two bitter Buenos Aires rivals took to the stage:

River Plate ended up winning the game 1-0, which was enough to advance to the tournament final for a showdown with Colombia's Atletico Nacional.

They really do take it to the next level over in Buenos Aires as far as cheering is concerned. Check out how the Boca Juniors fans greeted their players before the first leg match at La Bombonera.
